Within “The 6th Regional Symposium on Landslides in the Adriatic-Balkan Region – ReSyLAB”, engineers of the Institute of Transportation CIP had the opportunity to participate in two technical interdisciplinary workshops in the first part of the Symposium, and then to present to the participants from 18 different countries a professional paper that demonstrates how the CIPTeam engineers deal with the occurrence of landslides during and after the design of traffic and transport infrastructure.

During the Workshop “Slope Stability Assessment in Soils and Rock Masses – Beyond the Basics” organized by GeoDestek Ltd. Şti., Rocscience, CIP engineers had the opportunity to solve practical problems using sophisticated programs from the Rocscience software package, as well as to implement the acquired knowledge in the design process and slope stability analysis.

Furthermore, the Workshop „New trends in geotechnical monitoring for slow-moving landslide risk analysis (Insar in GIS)“ organized by professors from the University of Salerno (Italy), enabled CIP engineers to master the methodology of monitoring conditionally stable terrains with the aim of predicting the occurrence of instability and react promptly.
