THE BRIDGE THAT CONNECTS NATIONS – 11th International Conference on Bridges in Danube Basin

Engineers from the Department of Structural Engineering at the Institute of Transportation CIP had the opportunity to present a paper titled “Road Bridge over the Sava River near Sremska Rača“ at the 11^th International Conference on Bridges in Danube Basin, held in the period from 20 to 21 November 2024, in Munich. The authors of the paper are Biljana Čolić, graduate civil engineer, and Ljubomir Vlaisavljević, graduate civil engineer, who are also the responsible designers of the bridge over the Sava River near Sremska Rača, which is a part of the new Kuzmin – Sremska Rača highway.

A study tour and a site visit to two bridges under construction near Nuremberg, as well as a tourist tour of the old town were organized on the first day of the Conference. That same evening, a formal reception was organized at the Technical University of Munich. On the second day, the Conference was held at the Catholic Academy in Bavaria, where the participants presented their works.
