The Institute of Transportation CIP has officially commenced preparation of a study and development design aimed at exploring and defining measures to improve the operation of the Zalog railway marshalling yard in Ljubljana and the connecting tracks within the cargo system of the Ljubljana Railway Junction.
The CIPTeam made a site visit to the Ljubljana-Zalog marshalling yard and held constructive meetings with experts from institutions responsible for the functioning of this vital element of the railway infrastructure in Slovenia (Institute of Traffic and Transport – Ljubljana, SŽ Tovorni promet – Ljubljana). Together with Slovenian colleagues, a consensus was reached on the primary goals and tasks focused on developing and improving a coherent, efficient, multimodal, and high-quality transport infrastructure in Slovenia.
