The continuation of the EDUCIPTeam process resulted in a visit of the China Highway & Transportation Society (CHTS) from Beijing, the most significant national, academic and professional organization of scientific and technological experts, which currently gathers around 2,700 institutions and around 80,000 individual members.
CIPTeam, together with colleagues from CHTS and representatives of South China University of Technology from Guangzhou, highlighted the facts regarding the previous successful cooperation between Serbian and Chinese engineers and opened new topics for cooperation, primarily in the field of ITS in road traffic and transport.
The field of intelligent transport systems (ITS) represents one of the most dynamic and complex areas in the development and design of modern infrastructure and accompanying functional operations, which requires an interoperable approach and integration of technical excellence in engineering, informatics, telecommunications, automation, artificial intelligence and economics.
It was concluded that the academic-professional community plays a key role in the development of ITS solutions through education and strategic cooperation in the field of research and work on real projects.
